| Profile: | Dr. Joan Vinall-Cox is a dynamic and creative social web consultant, writing coach, and editor. She is especially skilled at helping people navigate the digital environment, and its many easy communication possibilities. As well as consulting privately with writers and others on using the web for business and academic purposes, Joan has taught in Ontario's college and university systems. Joan also provides support for those wishing to develop their presenting skills and/or their use of online social applications. In 2006, Joan established her consultancy, JNthWEB aimed at advising on the business and/or academic use of web applications, coaching writers, training presenters, and editing email newsletters. She has co-authored a book on report writing, has had a number of articles published, and frequently gives presentations for professional associations. She received her PhD (UofT) with her thesis focused on moving from technophobia to technophilia, in 2004. She received the Annual Award for Teaching Excellence from Sheridan College in 2001. |
